Our story – how we started to create personalized gifts

 

Creating personalized gifts for birthdays, baby showers, baptism and other special moments became our mission 5 years ago. We must admit, it’s not an easy mission. However, it’s the best mission we could imagine. We believe that we have the most amazing family business in the world as we can explore our creativity and help people all around the world keep their best moments for life. 

 

 

It all started more than four years ago in the attic of our house, where we had some free space for creativity, passion, experiments, ideas and dreams… We (my husband and I) were office employees – my husband was an architect and I was a manager at a company that sold gifts. Thus, we could explore our creativity only on weekends and after working hours.

While working for the gift company, I noticed that the market was overwhelmed with different types of gifts. However, I felt that there was a gap that could still be filled.

I had some ideas about the gifts I wanted to create, and my husband, as an architect, could help me by applying his technical knowledge. We presented our first products to our family and friends. Their positive feedback encouraged us to come up with even more ideas and solutions and set up a company to provide these unique, personalized gifts to a wider public.

 

 

Today we offer almost 30 different wooden photo album design options that come in various sizes. In addition, they can all be personalized with a dedicated engraving so that each album – just like a family’s memories – is one of a kind. Every year we create and add new designs. It’s a pretty complex process as we aim for the highest quality.

 

Our favourite memory books or wooden photo albums are designed with an elephant muom and baby or peonies on the cover as well as the child’s name. We find them elegant and appealing. 

 

 

  

 

 

We strongly believe that everyone needs to enjoy every moment. However, the human mind is so amazing that we all have the ability to memorize and relive some moments… We only need some positive triggers to activate these memories. That’s why our mission is to help families collect these moments, keep them in the memory boxes or memory books and return to them anytime.

 

 

 

A lot of our products are ordered as gifts for baby showers, birthdays or other special family events. Thus, the magic already starts during the creation of the photo album / memory book, memory box / keepsake baby box or nursery décor / personalized name sign.

There are several hundred variations of the wooden photo albums that we offer.

 

 

Each photo album has several formats, including number of pages, and there are almost 30 different album cover designs, with the possibility to choose the colour or pattern of the design. Thus, the product already becomes pretty personalised. In addition, we offer the possibility to engrave a dedication, first name or family name, a special date or anything else. And that’s not all! We also offer 30 different fonts for the engraving. Thus, in the end, we can say that the photo album, memory box or wall décor is designed by the person who ordered it, yet we still create everything by hand.

 

 

 

When we started to offer our products to a wider public, we didn’t expect that most of the gifts would travel far away – to the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and so on… This gives us the positive feeling that our ideas and designs have been appreciated all over the world. So far, we’ve delivered our products to more than 30 countries.

 

 

When working with places far away, the delivery time is very important. Luckily, we’ve established great partnerships with some delivery services that ensure very rapid shipping.

 

 

At Guthman Gifts, we believe that one great thing leads to another. That’s why we focus on ensuring a great work environment for our team, so they can ensure the best quality products for our customers. The more satisfied our customers are, the more benefits we’re able to offer our team.

Today we have a team of 8 people who work in our workshop of 350 m² (1148 square feet). Each product is verified before it is sent to a customer. We believe this is the key element of keeping customer satisfaction so high. The proof? Only one customer out of a hundred rates our products and services with four stars (99 customers give us 5 stars).
